Epson, a leader in the digital label and packaging industry, will be showcasing its leading ColorWorks® on-demand color label printing solutions for fresh food applications, as well as samples created on SurePress® digital label presses, at Convenience Retailing University in Orlando, Fla. In addition, Andy Scherz, senior product manager, Commercial Label Printers, Epson America, Inc., will be presenting during a breakout session at the event.

During Convenience Retailing University, an industry event intended to help managers and executives build better and smarter convenience stores, Epson will be demonstrating its ColorWorks on-demand inkjet label printers that can help increase productivity and reduce the cost of using pre-printed labels. Ideal for high mix label requirements, ColorWorks solutions deliver fast, full‑color, high‑volume, heavy production labels for busy, fresh food production. Epson will also be showing label samples created on its line of high-quality SurePress digital label presses, which can be tailored to meet various needs and budgets, and provide media flexibility for pressure sensitive, shrink and in-mold labels, as well as flexible packaging.

In addition, Scherz will be presenting a breakout session during the show – “Using Technology to Build Your Foodservice Brand.” The session will look at how strong branding and engaging labels are fundamental for top retail products, and how new technology makes it easy to extend the benefits of impactful labeling to fresh food production, ultimately growing sales. The session will compare older label solutions with new methods that enable businesses to create and print beautiful color labels immediately at the point of production – in store or in the kitchen.
